Born on September 12, 1986 in the city of New York, Emmy Rossum is young and rising star for sure. She is an only-child to her single mother Cheryl Rossum, who is Jewish and instilled in her strict Jewish morals. At the age of seven, she had joined the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus after having impressed director Elena Doria by singing Happy Birthday in all 12 keys.
