Kristin Chenoweth is an American actress and singer who was born on July 24, 1968. Jerry Morris Chenoweth and Junie Smith Chenoweth, both from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma adopted her when she was five years old. She graduated from Broken Arrow Senior high School where she performed songs and plays. She attended Oklahoma City University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre in 1990 and a Masters Degree in Opera Performance in 1992. Chenoweth has dated several Hollywood stars among them Dana Brunetti, Lane Garrison, Seth Green, Aaron Sorkin and Marc Kurdish.

Chenoweth career is a lifelong history. She performed gospel songs in her early years. After University, she participated in regional theatre productions such as “Babes in Arms”, “Phantom” and “Box Office of the Damned”. She won a Theatre World Award for her role in the musical “Steel Pier”. Other awards she has won in her career include Tony, Outer Critics Circle awards, Clarence Derwent and the Drama Desk Awards. She began splitting her career between singing and acting in 2000 and released her debut album “Let Yourself Go” the following year.

She performed a solo concert at the Metropolitan Opera on January 19, 2007 and featured on the album “Just before Sunrise” with Nathan Gunn in the same year. She released her third album “A Lovely way to spend Christmas” in 2008. The album is her bestseller; it was number 77 on the Billboard charts. Other concerts she has performed include the “St Louis Symphony Orchestra” at the Fox Theatre in 2009. She released her fourth album “Some Lessons Learned” on September 13, 2011; the album has songs from artists such as Dolly Parton and Diane Warren. Outside USA, she performed at the Sydney Opera House, Australia in 2013 and at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 2014.

Like many music superstars, Chenoweth has made special appearances in several events. Such events include the 2003 and 2005 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at Oklahoma. She sang the US National Anthem at the CandleStick Park for NFC Conference Championship on January 22, 2012. She also hosted the 15th Annual Broadcast Film Critic Association Awards on VHI and co-hosted the 2013 Oscars Red Carpet Live before the 85th Academy Awards.

In 2009, she wrote a memoir titled “A Little Bit Wicked: life, Love and Faith in Stages” describing her life and career. She describes herself as a liberal and a nonjudgmental Christian. Her support for gay rights has gone against the wishes of her Christian based supporters; Women of Faith Conference cancelled her from performing during the occasion.
