Bruno Mars is an American singer, choreographer, voice actor and also a record producer who was born on the 8th of October in the year 1985 in Honolulu, Hawaii in the United States of America. His real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. He grew up in Waikiki, which is a neighborhood of his birth town. He is the son of Mr. Peter Hernandez and the late Mrs. Bernadette. His father belongs to the Puerto Rican as well as the Ashkenazi ancestry while his mother belongs to the Filipino ancestry. His was nicknamed Bruno while he was two years old by his father because he resembled Bruno Sammartino, who was a wrestler.
He grew up in a musical family that exposed him to a wide range of music genres including rock, hip-hop, and R&B. Bruno Mars began performing on stage at the age of three. When he turned 4 years old, he began to perform with his family band. Bruno Mars began to play guitar after being inspired by Jimi Hendrix. He admits having performed in many events in Hawaii. He joined President Theodore Roosevelt High School where he used to perform in a school band called The School Boys. While he was 17 years of age, he relocated to Los Angeles to focus more and pursue his musical career. In 2004, he was signed to Motown Records and was dropped out of poor performance. Later on, he was signed to Westside Independent for a musical publishing deal. He met Steve Lindsey, who showed him the secret of writing pop music. After hearing Bruno Mars perform a number of songs on stage, he was introduced to Aaron Bay Schuck, who was a manager at Atlantic Records by Lawrence. Bruno Mars has written songs for Sean Kingston, Brandy, Alexander Burke and Adam Levine.
Bruno Mars began to succeed in his solo musical career after he co-wrote the song Nothing on You with B.O.B. he also co-wrote Travie McCoy’s Billionaire, which topped many Billboards. He later appeared in a play titled Its Better If You Don’t Understand. On July 2010, he released a song titled Just the Way You Are which became a great hit a topped many charts. He released his album Doo-Woops and Hooligans that became number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then he has released numerous hit songs including grenade that have sold many copies.
