Gabriella Wilde was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England on April 8 1989. She was born to John Austen Anstruther a former chairman of the Watermark Group, and Vanessa Mary Theresa, a former model. Wilde’s grandfather through her maternal side includes Montagu Bertie, Thomas Gage and others. Gabriella attended St Swithun’s School Winchester and Heathfield St Mary’s School, Ascot for her lower school and high school. Then she proceeded and enrolled for college education to study fine art at the City and Guilds of London School but she later turned down the course and went to pursue acting and modeling career. At the age of 14, Wilde started her modeling career where she joined Naomi Campbell at Premier Model Management agency. At that time, she made big appearance for L.K Bennett, Burberry Topshop, Lacoste, and Abercrombie & Fitch companies’ campaigns. At the same time, she posed for Nylon, Vogue, InStyle and Cosmopolitan. She was also named the second best girl in Britain in 2007, but she turned off the media attention.

Gabriella left her acting profession in December 2009 to join St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold, a comedy film which led her to appear in one of the Doctor-Who episodes of the BBC TV series in 2010. In the same year the month December, she was cast in The Three Musketeers film which she was the writer and the owner of the film. She played a role of the queen’s lady-in-waiting, but after the release of the film in October 2011, the reception was not so good. It received a rating of 24% though that was reviews based on 90 critics, but even after being rated that low, the film went on to make more than $132 million worldwide.

After such below standard performance, Wilder did not depart from the industry but went ahead to be casted in the ABC Sci-Fi television pilot Dark- a series that featured a science student who thought he is a unique creature and his role is to deal with evil powers. Though when ABC was doing the selection for the year 2012-2013 television seasons pilot was not selected. Wilder was also featured greatly in the Short Film Maestro alongside Squatters film and Dark Horse. In the same month, Wilde was again cast in the Screen Germs and MGM, a film which was directed by Kimberly Peirce of Boys Don’t Cry and released in October 2013 though the filming took 16 months. She was also featured in the remake of Endless Love in 2014.
